Joshua Henderson

Through his zine series ‘Flamer’, Joshua Henderon combines the duo-tone aesthetic associated with zine culture in the 80s and 90s with influential queer people, movements, and history. The aim is to increase visibility and representation of the LGBTQIA+ community. Joshua borrows his colour pallette from the progress flag, paying homage to the huge role that zines played within the queer community as a method of activism, self-expression, and information sharing using a readily accessible and cheap medium. Joshua has created an outlet to allow queer people to learn about those that have come before them, and deepen their connection with modern queer culture and history.
