UNSW School of Art & Design stands on an important place of learning and exchange first occupied by the Bidjigal and Gadigal peoples of the Eora Nation. We acknowledge the Bidjigal and Gadigal peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land that our students and staff share, create and operate on. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and extend this respect to all First Nations peoples across Australia. Sovereignty has never been ceded.
A&D ANNUAL
The A&D Annual is the largest national showcase of graduate contemporary art and design, launching the next generation of artists, designers, makers and digital media creators. As one of Australia’s most dynamic and diverse art and design schools, our graduate exhibition encompasses installation, animation, digital media and film, visual communication and graphic design, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, sound, furniture and jewellery, textiles, design for social innovation, ceramics and more. In 2022, we are proud to present new work by more than 120 emerging practitioners online and across the UNSW School of Art & Design Paddington campus.

ROSS STEELE AM FINE ARTS PRIZE
Supported by Ross Steele AM, the Ross Steele AM Fine Arts Prize is awarded to an outstanding fine arts graduate.
TWT Excellence Prize
Supported by Bridging Hope Charity Foundation and TWT Property Group, the TWT Excellence Prize is awarded to an outstanding graduate. The prize includes a bursary and studio at St Leonards Creative Precinct for a year.
Introduction
Each year, it is my privilege to witness the unique and remarkable creative talent emerging from UNSW School of Art & Design in our graduate showcase, the A&D Annual.
As one of Australia’s largest, most dynamic and diverse art, design, and media schools, our graduate showcase reflects a range of innovative, experimental, and interdisciplinary approaches to creative practice and research.
This year we celebrate the work of more than 120 practitioners graduating from our Bachelor degrees in Fine Arts, Design and Media Arts, and Master of Design program. In 2022, our students present new work across UNSW Galleries, AD Space, and the Black Box, as well as online in an extensive digital showcase.
Our graduates are a testament to the importance of creativity, critical thinking, and resourcefulness. The outstanding work they have produced demonstrates the capacity for art and design to impact our world, as they respond to the social, technological, and environmental issues of our time.
Congratulations to all our graduating students, and I wish them the very best as they move forward to become the next generation of creative leaders, contemporary artists, designers, and digital media creators, both in Australia and overseas.
