A&D ANNUAL 2022
Lucy Teague
Lucy Teague's practice explores embodiment, affect, gesture and the corporeal to gain an understanding of how individuals operate and connect with one another. Through video, expanded photography and installation, Lucy utilises methods of abstraction, trace and residue to explore ideas beyond normative ways of thinking. In 'Haptic Impressions' Lucy aims to rethink our understanding of touch, exploring its messy and sticky nature, how it can be considered beyond skin to surface, and the affective charge it holds. Lucy aims to reveal how touch and feeling shapes us, drawing attention to the impressions we leave upon one another.
