Jodie \u2018Joey\u2019 Sim\u00a0is a\u00a0Warrang\u00a0(Sydney) based multidisciplinary artist engaged in\u00a0locating\u00a0the diasporic experiences of familiarity and a sense of home. Her artistic practice considers the ways conversations can be\u00a0facilitated\u00a0in-between the tensions of an identity that wander between the skirts of multiple cultural boundaries. To do this, Joey documents the experiences and acts of cultural survival in the diaspora and focuses on the idea of the voyage and searching in the liminal space between cultures.
