Thomas Enriquez

Thomas Enriquez is a video artist and poet working with the mediums of moving image and writing. His work is a handling of place and identity, capturing the sensory undercurrents of marginal locations while narrating poetic reflections on mood and ambience. His creative practice investigates the narrative with which we define place, using walking as a method of both art making and research. His research explores how walking along a destination-less journey reveals relational fields of understanding place, through interactions between contemplation, navigation, and poetics. He observes how slow sense perceptions may respond to questions of personal desires, the transience of existence, and the sweetness of becoming.
