‘Marcel Davie’ is an online archive composed of works and found pieces of material gathered over two years. Inspired by the provocation of "Am I still queer when I lie alone in bed at night?", Rainer Ciar's work has sought to draw upon memories and feelings to begin locating and exploring identity. Attentive in making their small artworks, their process breaks down the inherent value and scale between objects—everything becomes valuable, and everything made finds a home within the archives. Rather than demand attention from their work, Rainer's process of making is deeply tied to care and patience, asking for their audience to explore and unravel their work at their own pace.
