A&D ANNUAL 2020
Zorica Purlija
Zorica Purlija's photomedia project makes speculative notions of how a father/daughter relationship affects female development, specifically in the way she relates to men. Sourcing images from her own archive, she has used collage to explore the perceived voids and places of distress that occur in the female psyche when the father daughter attachment is insecure. Her current photomedia practice has been centred around attachments, the psychology and space around our first relationship and how it impacts our future self. Portraiture has been her main focus with her daughter acting as muse.
