Xinyi Huang (Narsha)

Xinyi Huang (Narsha's) work addresses issues experienced by the deaf community, exploring the inconvenience of communication and lack of information available to deaf people in their study, work and life. There are over 20 million deaf people in China dealing with unequal treatment, marginalisation and discrimination in society, hindering the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal of reducing inequality. Through the establishment and design of a public space exhibition, Narsha's project provides an opportunity for deaf people to share their personal stories and experiences to educate and raise awareness for these issues.
