A&D ANNUAL 2020
Rani Morgan
Rani Morgan's project 'Collab for Cloth’ aims to create a sense of ownership between 18–28-year-old women and their textiles as an alternative to wasteful fast-fashion. Rani created a co-design method where participants draw motifs based on their identity for their own textiles, resulting in an emotionally durable outcome. By applying a number of participatory and psychological tools, Rani found she could promote longevity of fabric use and therefore more responsible consumption practices for those involved. This project responds to issues around waste and climate change by building a way for people to keep their textiles for longer.
