Mutiara Nada Mayra

Designed as a playful solution to a serious problem, ‘EatsOK’ is an exploration on how technology can be used to recreate the values of commensality (to eat together at the same table) in times of quarantine and social-distancing. Through the research method of 'cultural probes' and the theory of 'ludic design', Mutiara Nada Mayra has created the ‘EatsOK’ digital system to enhance the social experience of isolated mealtimes by introducing a playful approach to dining. This research project expands on Mayra's practice as a graphic designer, where her approach is inspired by her love of visual art and illustrative qualities.
