Lucy Wu

Expanding on her practice in graphics, Lucy Wu has developed a WeChat mini program, '家⽔' / 'Jia Shui' (Home Water) which gamifies visual illustrations to teach English as a second language (ESL) Chinese residents in NSW what they should or should not dispose of in their home drainage systems. This was developed in response to how our actions at home are contributing to the current microplastic water contaminations. Through conducting co-design research methods by inviting Chinese residents in the design process, Lucy proposes that by applying visual graphics to a gamified learning tool, it will evoke education and behaviour changes in the household.
