Lin Xie

Lin Xie’s design project addresses the challenges of consumption, waste and recycling infrastructure, aiming to influence resident behaviours in recycling and waste management. Lin has designed practicable and efficient products to improve the quality and accuracy of recyclable waste practices in Australian residential apartments, and to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. The design proposition responds to the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 12 ‘Responsible Consumption & Production’ by enhancing the accuracy of waste sorting, and educating residents in taking responsibility for waste management.
