Dilara Niriella

Dilara Niriella’s practice plays with ideas of branding and recognisability. Her paintings feature seemingly normal imagery of domesticity that lure the viewer in through the sense of familiarity created. By depicting mundane objects in a fine art context, she forces a revaluation of the role of these items and their worth. Dilara utilises methods of assemblage, photography and painting interchangeably throughout her process. This hybridised approach to art making has allowed for the development of oil paintings that blur the distinction between mediums.
