A&D ANNUAL 2020

Charne Eade

Charne Eade is a contemporary artist who paints abstracted landscapes with an urban voice. Charne’s work examines the parallel between the natural and man-made, altering and embracing these interruptions that speak of both place and time. Driven by an intuitive process, Charne combines hand-crafted surfaces with developed ideas of line, mark and shapes. By employing methods of abstraction and deconstruction, mark-making and colour interruption, she develops landscapes that are explorative yet playful. Examining the environment in fragments, unexpected elements combine which speak to the turbulent and tender marriage between nature and man.
