'Have You Eaten Yet? 你吃了吗?’ is a series that explores the experience of negotiating and navigating a sense of identity between cultures. Through the lens of food and food culture, the work looks to examine the Asian-Australian experience by deconstructing cultural traditions and practices surrounding food (both Eastern and Western). This project addresses more complex issues such as stereotypes and racial barriers that have come to define the reproduction of ‘Asian-ness’ within the Australian context.
